Cham is a municipality in the canton of Zug in Switzerland.
It has an area of 19.82 km² and, as of 2005, a population of 13,894.
The city, on the northern shore of Lake Zug, was awarded the Wakker Prize in 1991 for the preservation of its architectural heritage.
The town's first charter dates from 1360.
It is a modern small city-town that offers exceptional conditions for living and for children to grow up in with great benefit.
Located strategically between the cities of Lucerne and Zürich, close to the city of Zug, Cham can be accessed by highway (From Lucerne and Zug), train, boat (from Zug during the summer time), bike and bus, this small city has its own medical clinic, excellent institutions for primary and secondary education, kindergarten and an excellent public green with sports facilities available all year around.
